Hello and welcome.  I am a freelance journalist, copywriter, copy editor and proofreader.

I currently write for Patch.com, the hyperlocal online news service, writing about towns throughout Union County, NJ. I also take on freelance projects such as manuscript preparation and ghostwriting. Please see my résumé for more details.

I can be reached at 908-313-5199 or patrick.sullivan@psully.com, and you can follow me on Twitter. I am always working and always looking for the next story.

About Me

I love words; I love being around them, reading them, crafting them into sentences and paragraphs and pages, and I hate when people butcher my beloved English language. I want nothing more or less than to write and edit for a living for the rest of my life.In my spare time, I write short fiction, and I love to read, especially horror and speculative fiction (i.e. sci-fi and fantasy).

Writing gives me an excuse to be curious. I’m always asking, “What happened? How? Why? Tell me a story!” and it’s great to do it for a living.

I provide photos with all of my stories, and photography is very much a hobby for me.  Photography helps me tell a more complete story.

Besides reading, writing and photography, I like to snowboard and I train in Brazilian jiu jitsu and submission grappling. So if you are looking for a bookworm who enjoys hurtling down a mountain on a piece of wood and who pays gym fees to get his head bounced off the mat a few times a week, look no further; you’ve found him.
